Christmas 5 Days at Orange

The highlight of the week was "The O Show" which was held at the main camp where the majority of the entrants camped for the week.  "The O Show" was a talent show comprised of orienteers from various clubs.  It was an entertaining evening and interesting to observe the hidden talents of many of our members including Colin Currie playing the blues on the harmonica, Duncan Currie doing stand-up O comedy,  Alex Kennedy and Aidan Dawson in an eating competition, a spectacular dance performance from Tom Kennedy and an "Oringen Essentials" language lesson from a visiting  Swedish family.

Sydney Sprint Series - January sees the start of the Monday or Sunday evening Sydney Sprint Series.  This is a series of urban sprints which follow a line course around some of Sydney's more complex mapped areas.   The sprints kick off this Sunday evening at Sydney University which is an extraordinarily good map and should not be missed.  Hopefully, this time there won't be the "zombies" which were present last time an event was conducted at the uni ...
