Dubbo, Monday 14 June 2010: The NSW Schools Team was announced at the QBIII carnival over the weekend.  The announcement followed a series of 8 selection races over the last few months at a variety of venues.  There was tough competition to get into the team this year as there is a large pool of junior talent coming through the ranks across the State. 

The team will compete in the Australian Championships to be held near Adelaide in October.

The announcement was eagerly awaited by many Garingal juniors.  6 of our juniors were selected in the team this year.  They are:

• Michele Dawson (Senior Girls)
• Huon Wilson (Senior Boys)
• Matthew Hill (Senior Boys)
• Aidan Dawson (Junior Boys)
• Toby Wilson (Junior Boys)
• Daniel Hill (Junior Boys).

All of the juniors in the club and other clubs have put in a huge effort at training camps and during the competition races over the past few months and are to be congratulated.
