Sunday, 13 October 2013 - Pyrmont - the best was left to last ... the State League for 2013 officially wrapped up last weekend with Garingal hosting the NSW Sprint Champs on the Sydney Harbour foreshore at Pyrmont. The event had it all - an assembly area adjacent to classy restaurants and cafes, an adventure playground with water features for the children, parking in close proximity, an awesome view of the harbour in a natural arena like cove, and courses which took runners through a labrinyth of small laneways and buildings on different levels.
Ross Barr and Carol Jacobson had worked a treat with the new map of the area and President Kennedy delivered on the organisational front. Jamie was pleased to see that the event concluded and packed up by around 11:40am - must be an organisational record for a State League. Stuart McWilliam did a great job on the start and Colin and Dianne Burnett were ever steady on the IT in the finish tent. Full results and photos.
